Philipp Kartaev graduated from the Lomonosov Moscow State University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in 2004 and a master’s degree in 2006 at Faculty of Economics. In the above University, he defended his candidate’s thesis in economics in 2007 and doctorate thesis in 2017.

In 2018–2022, he was a Chair of Mathematical Methods of Economic Analysis Department, Faculty of Economics, Lomonosov Moscow State University. From 2023, he has been a Chair of Micro- and Macroeconomic Analysis Department, Faculty of Economics, Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Research interests: macroeconomics, monetary policy.
