About the Journal

Russian Journal of Money and Finance is the open access scholarly quarterly. Established in 1938 as ‘Dengi i Credit’ (from the middle of 1941 to the end of 1945 was not published), the Journal is the oldest Russian banking periodical.

The Journal is founded and published by the Bank of Russia.

Starting from 2018, the Journal is published in both Russian and English, and it has a primary focus on academic research papers.

Russian Journal of Money and Finance predominantly covers issues related to:

  • monetary economics, including monetary policy;
  • financial markets;
  • banking;
  • FinTech and Big Data in economics and finance.

The Journal seeks to publish a wide variety of researchers’ views in these fields of study.

The new periodical’s objectives include:

  • establishing an authoritative platform to discuss research concepts, issues and tasks in economics, finance, banking, and financial technology;
  • providing support for the development of economic science in Russia, promoting scientific research and expanding its target audience;
  • encouraging the integration of scientific research and practice.

Russian Journal of Money and Finance is included in the list of leading scholarly journals of the Higher Attestation Commission, Ulrich's Periodicals Directory, and the Web of Science - Russian Science Citation Index. There are plans to secure its entry into Scopus and Web of Science Core Collection international databases. 

As a publisher of the Russian Journal of Money and Finance, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation is a member of the Publishers International Linking Association (PILA) which connect more than 11,000 publishing houses, universities, academia and other publishers of scholarly literature.
